Although she hasn’t been at Arden Place of Grapevine as long as one of our housekeeping team members, Tatyanna has made a big impact that residents and staff alike have noticed, which is why she has been chosen as our employee of the month! She says that this is the first time that she has worked in a nursing home setting but she really likes this environment and what it brings to the table.
Her favorite part of the job is getting to interact with the residents while she’s cleaning as they always come up with funny stories and make her feel comfortable, bringing a smile to her face every time she talks with them. She enjoys making the residents laugh, brightening their day and letting them know that it’s always going to be alright and to always have hope. “That’s why I really like working at this place not because of cleaning or because of the money but just because the residents make me so happy all the time. I am very grateful to have been able to meet each and every one of these residents and as well as y’all it’s been a really good experience, a great experience actually.”
She admits that she doesn’t do much outside of work but likes to spend time with her family, spending time outdoors to get some sun, though she says she’s really just a “homebody” who will read, watch TV, sleep and repeat!
“I would like to say thank you, honestly, I am so happy and grateful that y’all have nominated me. I haven’t been here that long, so I didn’t think I would even be nominated but I’m glad that I have been, it is honestly a pleasure getting to work here and to experience the laughter and joy that surrounds this place, honestly it brings me happiness to be here. Again, thank you so much for nominating me to be employee of the month, I will continue to work hard and live up to the employee of the month!”
